CHATTANOOGA PREPARATORY SCHOOL ATHLETICS
ATHLETIC EVENT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS AND CODE OF CONDUCT
2026-2027 School Year
Chattanooga Preparatory School Athletics is committed to providing safe, orderly, and respectful athletic events for student-athletes, coaches, officials, staff, families, and guests. These requirements apply to all persons attending a Chattanooga Prep-hosted or sponsored athletic event.
All patrons, personal items, and bags are subject to screening or search as a condition of entry. A person who refuses a required screening may be denied admission.
1. Athletic Event Entry Requirements
• No firearms, weapons, fireworks, or explosives.
• No alcohol, tobacco products, vaping devices or products, illegal drugs, or illegal substances.
• Clear bags only. All permitted bags remain subject to inspection.
• No outside food or drinks. Exceptions may be approved for documented medical needs or another reasonable accommodation.
• No loitering. Patrons may not loiter in walkways, concourses, parking lots, entrances, exits, or other areas in and around the venue.
• Service animals only. Pets and animals that do not qualify as service animals are not permitted.
• No re-entry. Once a patron leaves the venue, the original admission ends and re-entry is not permitted.
2. Clear Bag Policy
Permitted bags and items include:
• Clear bags.
• A small clutch purse no larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches.
• Medically necessary bags after inspection.
Prohibited bags include:
• Large purses.
• Non-clear or printed totes.
• Duffle bags, camera bags, and large totes.
• Backpacks, fanny packs, and waist packs.
• Other non-clear or oversized bags.
3. Spectator Code of Conduct
To maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful environment for all participants, officials, and spectators, every person attending a Chattanooga Prep athletic event is expected to:
• Demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times.
• Model appropriate behavior for student-athletes and younger spectators.
• Do not taunt, ridicule, or intimidate opponents, officials, coaches, event staff, or other spectators.
• Use respectful language and conduct. Profanity, vulgar language, obscene gestures, threats, fighting, and disruptive behavior are prohibited.
• Respect game officials and their decisions. Spectators may not confront, threaten, follow, or harass officials.
• Follow all facility rules, security procedures, and directions from school staff, event personnel, and law-enforcement officers.
• Remain off playing surfaces, team areas, locker rooms, and other restricted spaces unless specifically authorized.
• Keep aisles, walkways, entrances, exits, and emergency-access routes clear at all times.
• Do not possess or use alcohol, tobacco products, vaping devices, illegal drugs, or other prohibited substances on school or event property.
4. Enforcement and Consequences
• Entry may be denied when a patron violates an entry requirement, refuses a required screening, or presents a safety concern.
• Removal may be required for conduct that is unsafe, disruptive, threatening, disrespectful, or inconsistent with this policy.
• Future attendance may be restricted for serious or repeated violations of these standards.
• Student consequences may apply. Student spectators remain subject to all applicable school discipline policies.
• Additional action may be taken when conduct violates law, school policy, or host-venue requirements, including referral to law enforcement when appropriate.
5. Event Administration
The Principal or designee, Director of Athletics, and authorized security personnel may interpret and enforce these standards during an event. Reasonable accommodations may be approved for medical, disability, safety, law-enforcement, or event-operational needs.
Host-Venue Requirements: When an event is held at a facility operated by another school, district, municipality, or venue owner, any stricter host-facility requirement also applies.
Condition of Entry: Admission to a Chattanooga Prep athletic event constitutes agreement to follow these requirements, the Spectator Code of Conduct, and all lawful directions issued by authorized event personnel.
